My wife and I love each other very much, but like any other couple, we have our moments of discontent. It was difficult for us to relate to one another at times. We thought it was just the way things were supposed to be. We live together, so we will get angry with each other sometimes. When I first took Angels course, I said to myself many times, "That's my wife!", "there she is again!" I gotta a tell you, it was an aha moment for me. My wife acted and reacted to my actions a certain way, and now I understood. But more importantly, I
understood it was my actions and my responsibility. We were two different people. When money was tight, to me it wasn't a big deal, we would "get through it". But for her, it was terrible. Until Angels class I thought my wife was a "worry wart". But now I understand that part of her personality was to have security, and I needed to be sensitive and sympathetic to that. Also, doing things at the last minute, springing things I planned with out her, was a large cause of discontent. She was organized and liked to plan, I just liked to go. We now have an online family calender that we put all our events on, so we are on the same page. My wife also understands more about me, and why I do what I do. When I would be excited about things, she would logic me to death and bring me down. She now shares my excitement at the beginning, and brings in logic slowly. I like that. Now don't get me wrong, we still have our moments of discontent, but man, they are much fewer!
